Mahashivratri Celebrations

Maine Hindu Temple (MHT) is celebrating auspicious Mahashivratrion Monday, the March 7th and Monday happens to be dedicated to Lord Shiva and the celebration continues from Monday, March 7th through Wednesday, March 9th. Mahashivratri is popularly known as the night of Lord Siva and the most auspicious day dedicated to prayers and contemplation. When Lord Shiva is worshipped there is joy all around and the bliss is achieved through Brahman realization during that time Lord Shiva is seen in all animate and inanimate. Planetary position aligns in such a way, on Mahashivratri night, it naturally creates an upsurge of energy in the human system. For that reason traditionally it is known to be beneficial both physically and spiritually to stay awake and aware through the night. Abhishekam is performed during 4 prahar's (kaala/times).
  • First Abhishekam starts at 6:03 pm
  • Second Abhishekam starts at 9.10 pm
  • Third Abhishekam starts at 12:18 am (Tuesday early hours)
  • Fourth Abhishekam starts at 3:26 am (Tuesday early hours)
MHT appreciates if all the sponsors come in a traditional attire and all devotees can sing Lord Shiva Bhajans throughout the night.

Sponsorship Abhishekam for all prahar   :        $51.00 Single Abhishekam            :        $15.00 Mahashivratri Abhishekam is done with panchamrutham using Milk, Ghee, Curd, Honey, and Coconut Water to please Lord Siva. All devotees are requested to bring Milk, Sugar, Ghee, Honey, Water, Flowers and variety of Fruits.
