MHT Community Meeting

MHT is inviting all community members to attend an informational meeting on Thursday, August 4, 2016, between 6.30 and 7.30 pm.  The purpose of the meeting is to hear about upcoming events, future planning, and review of 2015 financial summary.

As we all know MHT is managed and run 100% by volunteers and in need of your help. Together we can discuss future direction, determine what services we can provide to the community, initiate fund raising activities and recruit more volunteers to carry out temple activities for our Hindu Temple community.  All community members are welcome and encouraged to participate and RSVP as soon as possible to confirm your attendance. Regular Thursday Bhajan and Aarti follow after the community meeting.

The Bhagavad Gita literally meaning the Song of the Bhagavan, is a 700-verse scripture in 18 chapters that is part of the epic Mahabharatha. The Gita is set in a narrative framework of a dialogue between Arjuna and his guide and charioteer Lord Krishna. The Bhagavad Gita is often regarded as the greatest of all the 'Upanishads'. The Bhagavad Gita presents a synthesis of Jnana, Bhaksthi, Karma and Raja Yoga. Let us participate in it, take all the benefits of it and cross the world of miseries easily by HIS grace. All devotees are requested to participate in the Bhagavad Gita Parayanam chanting. Please RSVP as soon as possible to confirm your attendance. All community members are encouraged to bring flowers and prasad for the Bhagavad Gita Parayanam program. Please email info@mainehindutemple.org or call (207) 370-0475 if anyone needs more details or clarifications. Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely, MHT Board
